Birthday Party

Ben had a birthday party with four of his friends on Saturday -- they went to the movies to see Central Intelligence and then had pizza and birthday cake for dinner. And with that, the 12th birthday celebrations have come to a close!

Cuteness

Ben doesn't mind his four year old sister curling up on his lap to watch him play a game on his phone ❤️

Tutoring

Becca and Caroline getting some reading help from the fabulous Ms. Beale at the library after camp today! We must not let the summer brain drain take over!

New Tattoo

If you are going to get your first tattoo at almost 40 you might as well go all the way, right?! 

First Home Swim Meet

And first meet of the season for Becca since we were away last week. Becca won her heat for backstroke, and came in second in her heat for freestyle and third for breast stroke. Great job Becca!!

Happy Father's Day to an awesome dad!! A little upstaged by Ben's birthday :)

Happy Birthday Ben!!

Number 12!!! Ben got quite the birthday today, including an autographed Hornets basketball, courtside Hornets tickets, and an Apple Watch from Joel and I, and a pair of LeBrons and a bottle of famous Phil's barbecue sauce from Uncle Mike and Aunt Kathleen. (He was almost as excited about the barbecue sauce as he was about the basketball shoes). We also went out to dinner at Blue Taj, and tomorrow Papa is taking him to Bistro Le Bon!

Vacation has officially begun! First day of beach and pool is in the books and boy are the kids exhausted!

When the GPS tracker on your son's phone shows you that he is in the middle of a lake. (He was actually at a friend's house that borders said lake. Or so he claims).

The wood has arrived, after a slight mess up wherein they at first delivered 1.5 inch boards instead of 2.25 inch.

First Movie By Himself

I mean, without a parent... Ben got dropped off to see the new X Men movie with a group of friends. I have a feeling there's going to be a lot more of this in our future :) He reports that everyone was behaved though one of his friends may have shown up with a cooler of Mountain Dew and gummy candy that they somehow snuck into the theater....? OMG. 

Pool & Gymnastics

Spent the morning at the pool and the afternoon at Becca's gymnastics Olympiad -- now pooped :)
