Vacation has officially begun! First day of beach and pool is in the books and boy are the kids exhausted!

An Ambush and Ice Cream

Is what awaited the elementary school kids as they got off the bus -- super soakers and water balloons! And an ice cream sundae bar to make up for it :)

This is When You Hope The GPS Isn't Working Right

When the GPS tracker on your son's phone shows you that he is in the middle of a lake. (He was actually at a friend's house that borders said lake. Or so he claims). 

Getting Ready to Say Goodbye to a Whole Lotta Carpet

The wood has arrived, after a slight mess up wherein they at first delivered 1.5 inch boards instead of 2.25 inch. 

"Before" (you'll have to wait till the 18th for the "after" pics but with everything going on / getting ready to go on vacation I figured I might forget to take before pics otherwise). 

Excited for the Beach!

Someone is excited for our trip to Hilton Head! Modeling some more new swim wear:

First Movie By Himself

I mean, without a parent... Ben got dropped off to see the new X Men movie with a group of friends. I have a feeling there's going to be a lot more of this in our future :) He reports that everyone was behaved though one of his friends may have shown up with a cooler of Mountain Dew and gummy candy that they somehow snuck into the theater....? OMG. 

Pool & Gymnastics

Spent the morning at the pool and the afternoon at Becca's gymnastics Olympiad -- now pooped :)
